Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") describes conduct prohibited on the Kerf platform operated by Kerf Technologies LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("Kerf"). It is part of and incorporated into the Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, suspension or termination of your account, and other remedies available to Kerf.
1. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to, and not to assist or permit anyone to:
- Unlawful use — use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activity.
- Fraud and misrepresentation — provide false or misleading information; impersonate any person or business; misrepresent identity, qualifications, licensing, insurance, or affiliation; or engage in any fraudulent scheme.
- Payment abuse — circumvent, evade, or manipulate Platform fees where prohibited; engage in payment fraud, card testing, money laundering, or unauthorized transactions; or misuse payment or invoicing features.
- Harmful or abusive behavior — harass, threaten, defame, stalk, discriminate against, or abuse other users or Kerf staff; or engage in hate speech or violent, obscene, or otherwise objectionable conduct.
- Harmful content — post content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, infringing, deceptive, or that violates others' rights (including intellectual-property and privacy rights).
- Fake or manipulated reviews — submit false, improperly incentivized, or manipulated reviews or ratings; solicit fake reviews; or retaliate against honest reviews.
- Security violations — attempt unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or connected systems; probe or test Platform vulnerability; circumvent security or access controls; or interfere with the Platform's proper functioning.
- Malicious activity — introduce malware or harmful code; conduct denial-of-service attacks; or scrape, harvest, or perform automated data collection without authorization.
- Spam and communication misuse — send spam or unsolicited bulk communications, or use Platform messaging or contact information for purposes unrelated to legitimate Platform transactions.
- Interference and circumvention — interfere with others' use of the Platform; solicit users for competing services in violation of the Terms; or use bots or automated means except as expressly permitted.
- Abuse of AI features — misuse AI-powered features, including by attempting to manipulate, overload, extract system information from, or use them for purposes other than their intended function.
- Misuse of the Platform's purpose — use the Platform for anything other than connecting Customers and Pros for legitimate home and property services and managing related business activity.
2. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of conduct that violates this Policy, report it to support@kerfapp.io. Kerf may investigate and act but is not obligated to monitor all activity.
3. Enforcement
Kerf may, at its discretion and without notice, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and take any other action permitted by the Terms in response to violations, and may report unlawful activity to authorities.
4. Changes
Kerf may update this Policy, posting the updated version with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
