Cancellation Policy
Free Cancellation Window
After accepting a quote, you have a 2-hour grace period to cancel for any reason at no cost. No questions asked, no impact on your account.
Standard Cancellation
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled date are considered standard cancellations. There is no fee, but repeated cancellations may result in a warning on your account.
Same-Day Cancellation
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled date are considered same-day cancellations. This may result in a reliability strike on your account. The pro may have already reserved time and turned down other work.
Reschedules
Each job allows up to 2 reschedules. Reschedules are a better alternative to cancellation since your pro stays assigned. After 2 reschedules, you will need to cancel and create a new job.
Service Call Fees
Some pros charge a service call or diagnostic fee. If you cancel after the pro has arrived, the service call fee may still apply. Pros who offer free estimates will not charge if you decide not to proceed after the inspection.
Pro Cancellations
If a pro cancels a scheduled job, your job is automatically returned to the marketplace so other pros can submit quotes. The pro receives a reliability strike. You will not be charged anything.
No-Shows
If a pro doesn't show up within 30 minutes of the scheduled time, you can report a no-show. This cancels the job and places a reliability strike on the pro's account.
If a customer is unavailable when the pro arrives, the pro can report this. The service call fee (if any) still applies, and the customer receives a reliability event.
Disputes
If you disagree with the outcome of a job, either party can file a dispute from the job detail page. Our team will review the case and work towards a fair resolution.
